Restrictions imposed to keep Agartala Traffic system clean : PM Modi state visit

Agartala: Jan 03: The district magistrate of West Tripura has issued a circular under section 105 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1991 to regulate the traffic system in Agartala and to regulate traffic and parking at various places during Prime Minister Naredra Modi’s state visit tomorrow. Light vehicles and buses coming from South Tripura Gomati, Sepahijalacan be kept at Nagerjala, Gandhighat and officeline. The light vehicles and busescoming from Dhalai, Unokoti, North Tripura, Teliamura, Jirania, Ranirbazaar can be kept at ISBT Chandrapur, old Central Jail andKhudiram Basu English Medium School ground. Light vehicles and buses coming from Khowai District and Sadar North can be kept at Radhanagar, Neheru Park, Hindi school and Sidhai Crossing. Vehicles coming from Jogendranagar Rail Station can be parked from Mordern Club to Gandhi School, Khudiram Basu school grounds. No Vehiclesand buses can be parked from IGM chowmuhani to Orient Chowmuhani, IGM chowmuhani to Fire service chowmuhani, Radhanagar to North Gate, North Gate to Katakhal, Sachin Bridge to Bhuturia. A public meeting will be held at Vivekanda Mooidan on the occasion f the PM visit to Agartala. A few alternative routes can be used for emergency services. They are: 1) Ker chowmuhani- Sankar chowmuhani- Bholagiri- ILS- GB, 2) AD Nagar- Flyover- RMS- Orient- Lions Gate- Women’s College-Ganaraj- Lalbahadur-Dhaleswar- Indranagar- GB, 3) Ker chowmuhani- Sankar chowmuhani- Barjola-Panchabati- Natunnagar- Ushabazaar- Airport. Restrictions have been imposed on the operation of various types of vehicles on the road from Agartala Airport to Vivekananda Moidan from 12 pm to 4 pm tomorrow in view of the Prime Minister’s Visit.
